Daisy chains

My old Buick Century came to mind today,

Not much of a motor by the time I got it,

But it brought us together and through it,

We daisy chained all the country lanes we could find.

An unforgettable summer lost in lush fields,

Out of sight rolling in love all day long,

Chains of love, made with love, hung everywhere,

Tiny flowers that fell from your dress and raised eyebrows.

A short-lived ménage a trois of you, me and daisies,

A household of three all wound together in love,

But I've left out the Buick, was that where I went wrong?

The Buick's gone now and so too have the daisies.
